Toorcamp Top Ten Things

I was very proud to both attend and be given the privilege of speaking at the inaugural hacker camp for the USA. I'm sure in years to come, Toorcamp will only grow bigger and bigger. I know there were a lot of logistical problems, but I think the staff battled with them brilliantly.

Here are my top ten moments, in no particular order:
  1. The raising of the pirate mast at HBL.
  2. Meeting lots of cool people and their cool vehicles.
  3. Finally meeting Leigh F2F. She's even more interesting and intelligent in person. My only disappointment was her hair was a normal hue (job hunting, she said). No matter her hair, I know she'll soon land in a great job.
  4. Touring the missile silo!
  5. Mudsplatter's drunken talk on messing with people's heads. Worthy of the best stand up comedy, and despite my best efforts, I learned something.
  6. Willow's ignite talk on parkour. It met my criteria of learning something unexpectedly new and interesting. I also found elements of parkour similar to what I'd learned when I studied Aikido.
  7. Giving my talk and having it pretty well received.
  8. Levitate.com and their silly publicity antics, including that emo concert which I'm sorry I missed (not).
  9. The friendliness, intelligence, and creativity of all the folks who were gracious enough to share their booze and time with me.
  10. Finally getting home and washing off all the cursed ash.

rofl i still dont remember what i talked about. i think it was about something of the chinese attacking america and having state sponsored hacking.

the reason why i was so drunk was that it was so hot. like over 100 degrees and the talks were running like a hour or 2 late and i ran out of water at the time. We were supposed to have done the talks but some other ass hat other then me got us all /ban from the silo so i dint know what was going on so i started to drink. Well one thing let to another and then another then more then the next thing some other speakers dint show up so i was next in line.

Well $hit happens....... so when life gives you $hit u fling $hit back at it.

The father of a 12 year old girl came up to me the next day and thanked me that his 12 year old kid liked my talk the most that it was the funniest.

"That drunk asian guy was the best one daddy"

All in all i met some great people, every one was nice, i dont blame the things that went wrong on the staff it was the ass hat from levitate.

something howard that ass /ban people from going in the silo and talking. he clams that his stupid windpower generators make so much power, yet still he used over 3 big ass generators to power a stupid hanson's like video rock concert.

Lesson learned = do not trust venture capitalists that throw rock concerts powered by GAS generators in the back.

ps the milioway people or how ever u spell it, were extraordinarily nice along with the phsic camp i camped with. Thank you for taking this poor refugee in.
